I Am Alone - Copyright 1/4/99 by Dan Sharpe.

I wither without you,
I thirst and am unquenched.

My parched lips ache for lack of dew,
longing for the moisture of your kiss.

My arms are like a deserted palace,
never to be filled again with bliss.

Unlit by the soft glow of your face,
My eyes fall into darkness.

I am alone and barren,
haunted by a memory of love.

My heart is like an empty cavern,
darkened without hope of your sweet love.
